Dental Veneers
Dental veneers are thin porcelain layers that fit over your natural tooth and help your smile look flawless. Getting a veneer usually requires two visits. During the first, we’ll shape and prepare your tooth for bonding. Dr. Luisa Snyder will also take molds of your teeth and choose the perfect color to match your surrounding teeth. We’ll then send the mold to a dental laboratory where your veneer will be made custom for you. Once the veneer has arrived, we’ll ask you back for your second visit and place your new veneer. The treatment is overall rather short, and your veneers can last for many years afterward.
Porcelain Crowns
Porcelain crowns are some of the most popular cosmetic dental procedures. The dental crown is made in a dental laboratory to custom fit your smile, much like a veneer. The crown, however, is used to either cover or replace an afflicted tooth. Porcelain crowns function and look just like your natural teeth and will blend in seamlessly with the rest of your smile. Though crowns can be made of a variety of materials, porcelain crowns typically dominate cosmetic dentistry because they provide the best aesthetics. This procedure also requires at least two visits, one to prepare your tooth and create the mold, and another to fit the crown in place.
Dental Bonding
If you would like to change the shape of your teeth, close gaps or repair cracked teeth, dental bonding may be the perfect solution. A tooth-colored composite material is applied to your tooth, sculpted and painted to fit your smile, and then hardened with a special light. Dental bonding provides an incredible cosmetic improvement and even protects sensitive teeth. The procedure typically requires only one visit and may last for many years with proper oral hygiene and thorough care.
